My family owned real estate jointly and we got tired of being landlords. We received an unsolicited offer to sell our real estate. When I found out our Capital Gains Tax Rate was 38%, I became a lot less excited. I started to look at NNN Properties but didn't like the typical business terms of the lease, nor did I like the location of the properties.

After doing my due diligence, I found DST Trusts. I fell in love with the diversification, multiple asset classes, institutional quality of assets, and monthly payments. I became so enamored with DST, I changed careers to focus on 1031 Exchanges using DST Trusts.
